Fall Fishing Fun

Fall is here and mother nature has blessed us with beautiful weather lately.  This time of the year, we tend to get more weather days with fronts being more common.   We had awesome weather for Thanksgiving week and got several clients out on the water.  With water temps cooling off from the summer heat fishing starts to fire up.  Fishing changes daily this time of the year with all the transitions with the different species.  The flounder migrate to the gulf to spawn and the trout start heading towards the river for their spawning. 

In the bay with the cooling water temps the trout have showed back up in full force.  We are still catching an occasional straggler flounder in the bay but most of them are coming from inshore wrecks in the gulfs.  As for the redfish, we are catching an occaional redfish in the mix with trout fishing and these fish tend to be the smaller slot sized fish, but the big bull reds are starting to feed on the baitfish in open water.  To find these fish with look for the birds working schools of baitfish either in the bay or along the beach in the gulf.   You cant always count on finding them this way but when you do its a sight you will never forget.  Check out some recent pictures below and as always we are always ready to go fishing no matter what time of the year it is.  There is always something to go catch in Destin, Fl.
