Fishing Report:
In the bay we have been catching Spanish mackerel, Bluefish, Skipjacks, Black snappers, and Redfish. July is one of the hottest months and makes fishing for trout tough. This past week the outgoing tide has switched to being during daylight hours. Fishing the bridges have been producing some trophy Bull Reds. As for the Gulf, Red snapper season has officially closed and on August 1st Amberjack season will open back up. While trolling in the gulf with have been catching Spanish mackerel, King Mackerel, and bonitas. When bottom fishing we have had lots of action with amberjacks, triggerfish, Mingo snappers, and a variety of porgies. For the thrill seekers, the shark bite has been great. We have been catching a variety of sharks, to name a few we have recentyly caught sandsharks, spinners, blacktips, and bullsharks.
