Meet The Guides

JOSH CALHOON

Capt Josh Calhoon has been fishing in and around Destin, Fl since he was 6 years old (bribing his older sister for rides to the pier) & has been charter captain for the past 16 years. Josh has fished anywhere from the back bay of the Destin/Ft Walton area to the offshore oil rigs. During Josh's 20+ years of fishing he has had the opportunity to fish with some of Destin's finest captains, & has developed the reputation of being a well respected fisherman as well as being great with kids of all ages.

CAPTAIN KYLE

Capt Kyle lives, eats, & breaths fishing especially when it comes to light tackle bay fishing. Being born and raised in the local Destin, Florida area he grew up fishing the back bay waters of the Choctawhatchee bay. Some of his most memorable times as a teenager was roaming the intra-coastal water ways with friends on his jon boat. After graduating high school Capt Kyle ventured away from the area for college and entered the work world soon after. It didn't take him long to realize that fishing is what he wanted to be doing and he took the venture of earning his Captains license. He has been guiding inshore bay charters ever since.

AARON TYRE

Captain Aaron primarily runs the Wasabi for Destin Inshore Guides. He has a life-long passion for all things fishing related. Aaron was born & raised in Georgia where he first started fishing. His first fishing memories are with his grandfather & a cane pole. He has fished all over the US including but not limited too Alaska for halibut, Colorado for trout & of course our beautiful Gulf of Mexico for all types of species from Red Snapper & Mackerel to Redfish & Trout in the Choctawhatchee Bay.

CAPTAIN ISAIAH

Capt Isaiah has only worked with Destin Inshore Guides since 2021 but has been an avid fishermen since he was young. Prior to working with us, he had worked on larger boats as a deckhand/1st mate. His passion has also been fishing pn smaller boats going after trout & redfish. Now he is able to turn his passion & hobby into a career. He also works at our local Tackle shop -Emerald Coast Bait & Tackle- which also happens to be Destin Inshore Guides sister company. Working both areas has allowed him to live, eat & breathe fishing. When he isn't at 1 of his jobs he is out fishing or hanging out with his 3 huskies.
